Thaler Pekar & Partners recently produced two films for
The Interfaith Alliance's One Nation, Many Faiths VOTE 2008 election year program. The longer film is being distributed to clergy and congregational audiences, placed inside Religion and Politics: A Campaign Season Guide for Houses of Worship. The shorter film was developed specifically for use on the web.
You can view the shorter film here.
We also produced a Viewer's Guide to accompany the longer length film.
Religion and Politics: A Campaign Season Guide for Houses of Worship, including the Viewer's Guide (pages 18-22), can be downloaded here.
The primary audience for the longer video is clergy, to assist them in understanding what they can and cannot do in their house of worship during an election, and to provide them with a sense of empathy upon hearing other clergy discuss their experiences and conundrums. The secondary audience for the longer video is congregants, who themselves desire further clarification on the issues, or who wish to engage and/or assist their clergy in understanding on the issue.
The shorter film is both an enticement to view the longer length film, and a vehicle for delivering a concise message about the need for, and the dangers of, congregational activity around elections.
